Goal Met, Plus One

For our Quilt-Along, we agreed on making six blocks per month. That's going to be a cinch because we're working with small blocks, and once the cutting is done the sewing goes quickly.

In my previous post you saw that I did all my cutting earlier today. After the cutting was finished I was able to sew SEVEN blocks in a matter of about an hour (that's including time to let Maggie in, let Maggie out, let Maggie in, feed everybody, let Maggie out, etc.)

And here are today's results.  I really like how this is coming together!  If you have any questions at all, let me know. I'm pumped and purring!!

Did you create for fifteen minutes today?

Love those blocks! I really like how they look set next to each other. Great fabrics for this project, too!

Your blocks look really nice. And...actually, I did get about an hour of sewing time today....better than I get many other days.

I did get time in to sew...but not on this project. I did decide on fabrics. Other than that, it will have to wait until next week. I've got a quilt to bind by Friday night!

Really cute! I love the snowball and 9 patch combo. One of my earliest quilts was this combo and I use it all the time as my couch throw.

Great job, Linda! Pi's doing an excellent job of selecting fabrics for the snowball quilt as well!

I got a bunch of 2.5" squares cut last night, but that's all - no sewing, I'm afraid.

Oh, that is going to be wonderful! And I will be sure to get my creative time in today. I said this before, but I'm so glad you are back!

So is it 6 blocks total or 6 blocks of each that we're doing per month?

Just six total blocks per month. This is the easiest quilt-along ever since neither Regina or I are in any hurry. Those of you over-achievers (and you know who you are..wink, wink) are free to make as many as you'd like! Thanks for magnifying our fun!

I think even I can be pulled in to the circle of creaters. I'm thinking this would make an awesome I SPY quilt for my niece for Christmas this year. At 6 blocks a month I might finish by then. Thanks for the inspiration.

after a little math, i think i'm going to do 12 a month instead of 6(or at least i'm going to try!). That way i'll end up with a 66x78 quilt before borders, perfect for a big couch quilt or twin bed.
