Boring stash report this week. All those goals had to be put aside thanks to a kitchen plumbing emergency. So Fiddlesticks is still being quilted. Even though grid quilting is easy and can look great, Momcat doesn't enjoy going back and burying all those threads. I'm sure we'll have some TV and recliner time soon to accomplish that task.

Re: grid quilting, I do a lot of it because I'm not real comfortable yet with my free motion skills but I don't usually have a lot of threads to bury. I start the rows just outside the border of the quilt on that side and stitch to the opposite edge just past the border on the opposite side.
Even if I stop somewhere inside the quilt top, I have started taking a few backstitches to secure the thread as I hate, hate, hate burying threads. Unless it's for a show, which my quilts never are, I figure those little backstitches don't matter in the grand scheme of things.
